These brass drops are drill-dotted along the center line and lower contours and finished with two thin layers of EverBrite to ward off oxidation/tarnish. The wrapped ear wires are solid sterling silver and the drops are jeweler's brass, which is a special alloy developed to most closely resemble the color of 14K gold. Both sides have a vertically brushed finish.
A little more about EverBrite:
EverBrite provides long-lasting protection from oxidation and even UV damage for metals like brass; however, over time areas of the coating will start to wear away. When this happens, you can wipe off breakthrough tarnish with copper cream and apply more anti-tarnish coating (it doesn't have to be EverBrite) to the worn area. EverBrite can also be removed entirely with acetone or by sanding it off.
Materials: sterling silver, jeweler's brass
Weight: approx. 4.2 grams each ~ a little less than the weight of a penny + a dime
Measurements: including the ear wire, these are approx. 2.75" long; the brass drops alone are 1.75" x 1.75" at the widest points.
