Berber Agate Slab
Berber Agate Slab
This is a highly unusual and striking specimen of this agate, displaying large, billowy silhouettes reminiscent of peonies - they blush pink at the center and transition to a muted cream; they are then enveloped by a pool of lilac agate and a few faint areas of light banding. All other cuts I’ve seen of this material have shown a flat plane of the lilac color surrounded by red banding. A fantastic choice if you like a soft, pink to purple palette and/or broad, impressionistic strokes - definitely looser in structure and more unusual than your typical agate. The rind of this piece is also gorgeous in its own right: a course, pitted black rough interspersed with sparkly lilac webbing. From the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.
This is a rough, unpolished, end cut slab. Please observe images closely for flaws, as some degree of that is normal. Pictured wet and dry.
