Bird of Paradise Plume Agate Slab
Bird of Paradise Plume Agate Slab
Bird of Paradise is an exceptionally rare agate from an area near Naica, Mexico. It is renowned for its elaborate, vividly colored plumes. This slab is showing a section of the classic red and salmon-pink plumes suspended within a semi-translucent agate, as well as a denser section of finer plumes and mossy, micro-dendritic areas, which are surrounded by extensive druzy pockets and even some open vuggs! Lots of sparkle and visual interest. Basically you can see the plumes develop from micro to macro in this piece. There are some fracture lines across the larger plumes.
This is a rough, unpolished slab. Please observe images closely for flaws, as some degree of that is normal. Pictured wet and dry.
