This is an extremely rare and striking form of pyrite that comes from an old lead-silver mine in the village of Neudorf in Harz, Germany (the Pfaffenberg Mine) that closed in 1903. The feather-shaped pyrite inclusions are pseudomorphs, and the surrounding materials are quartz and siderite. The pyrite inclusions in this slab are densely dispersed throughout, with lots of delicate feather detail. One of the videos shows this piece magnified under a loupe to help reveal more of the intricate detail. A superb choice for metallic and rare European specimen collectors; also excellent for making stunning cabochons.

This is a rough, unpolished slab. Please observe images closely for flaws, as some degree of that is normal. Pictured wet and dry.
