Extremely rare and gorgeous old-stock material from southeastern Colorado. Named for the formations resembling clusters of rosebuds that dot its surface, this material displays a sumptuous color palette of deep russet oranges, rose-reds, olive greens, and starkly contrasting whites and blacks. Absolutely beautiful! The rosebuds are palpable along the rind. Some specimens of this material will show a black background while others will show some translucence between the rosebuds, but this slab is so chock-full of rosebud clusters there is no apparent translucency. Spectacular!
This is a rough, unpolished, end cut slab. Please observe images closely for flaws, as some degree of that is normal. Pictured wet and dry.
