Prudent Man Agate Slab
Prudent Man Agate Slab
Prudent Man Agate comes from an area near Mackay, Idaho. The name is a tongue-in-cheek reference to an old mining law called the Prudent Man clause, which states that claims are only valid if "a prudent man could make a living working on it," - the claim owner thus jokingly asserts that the government has declared him an unprudent man. This slab comes from Vein #2, the second purveyance of this material, and displays a rather wild assortment of banded fortifications and intermittent rows of flame-like plumes in earthy shades of green, blue, grey, and golden orange. The way the features are arranged across the scene is a bit collage-like. Quite a unique and striking assemblage! Gorgeous banding and fortifications. This is one of the largest slabs I was able to cut from this material - nearly a half pound piece.
This is a rough, unpolished slab. Please observe images closely for flaws, as some degree of that is normal. Pictured wet and dry.
