Woodward Ranch Plume Agate Slab

This material comes from a location near Alpine, Texas that has been closed to collecting for several years now - it has since become increasingly scarce and difficult to obtain. It’s a longtime favorite of lapidaries and collectors due to its fantastic plume displays. This slab essentially contains plumes within plumes - the billowing silhouettes have an abundance of black dendritic plumes within them, which become visible when illuminated - the first and last three images show the plumes backlit. This slab also has a fantastic run of clear, chunky druzy on a section of the rind.

This is a rough, unpolished slab. Please observe images closely for flaws, as some degree of that is normal. Pictured wet and dry.
